Bloody hell, that was one of the most awesome, yet frustrating, game of Blood Bowl I've ever played.
Ratsburg decide to kick, and the Shufflers do their usual plod down the field smashing everything in their path. Fast forward to Turn 8 and there's only one skaven left on the field, Montgomery who is staring at the sky. Shufflers trundle in for the TD.
While Ratsburg couldn't pull off the 1-turn TD, they did manage to get 5 of 6 KOs back for the second half meaning the numbers are 10-9 in favour of the Khemri. At the restart, the Steelers manage to pull off a one-turner. Khemri are back receiving and despite the AG3 Sure Hands combo, fail to pick up the ball 2 turns in a row. Steelers, ahem, steal in for a second TD.
The restart saw more of the same, with another failed Khemri pickup attempt (same player). This time however, Ratsburg couldn't get to the ball into the end zone, because Montgomery caught a bouncing ball off a blitz (in 3 TZs). Cue a few turns of scrum-action, Montgomery catches another bouncing ball (show off), and then finally a Blitz-Ra snags a bouncing ball. Skaven are way down on numbers, and the Shufflers get within a GFI of scoring the equaliser with one turn to go.
At this point Jug'n'nort decides to show why he the Fan Favourite. The only skaven left standing, the blitzer managed a dodge, and then a 1-dice blitz against a blodger, and the ball is on the ground. Shufflers need a Thro-Ra to pick up, double GFI, Hand-off to AG3 player and then GFI to score.
Thro-Ra fails to pick up the ball.
Somewhere along the timeline, Blice the Quiet loses a MA from a foul, gets healed, then gets Badly Hurt failing a Leap roll. The guy cannot be killed. |
