Angels & Cockerells earn a first draw
In a close fought game, which saw the Cockerell ogre knocked out, but Romero claim two Noble angel scalps, the two teams played out a 1-1 draw with a lot of drama in the dying minutes of the second half where the game could have gone either way. Eventually it didn't, and the first draw in the Silver Division of MBBL XXVII was played out.

Snatching victory from jaws of a Skink
The Ostermarkers came out 2-1 on top after a dominant performance and a goal by the Lizardmen in the first half, but two TDs in the second for the Humans. Having dodged all over the pitch with abandon, a lone skink was felled (and killed) by an Ogre's arm, leading to the last-minute winner for the Humans. Had the skink not died, the result was likely a 2-1 win for the Lizards - but history only records the result, not how it was achieved. Cindy Piewhistle also debuted for Ostermark, and looked comfortable in the white and blue.

Zug joins for a vampire draw
On their way to Castle Vanilla, deep in the Sylvanian forests, the Cockerells met a wandering giant of a man and his entourage who were travelling from village to village demonstrating how to play blood bowl and how to thump undead creatures. Noticing the injured ogre, he offered to play the game and oh what a game! It is rare to see vampires shaking in their boots, but this giant, wearing “Z’s” on his chains and a Reikland Reaver shield on his back, clearly affected the Vanilla Vampires. Bashing through the middle, he made the difference in what resulted in a 2-2 contest of wills.

Dundead too good (or evil?) and take a W
The Ostermark media portrayed the 1-2 loss to Undead United as a close-fought affair. This is only true in the sense that the Cockerell Ogre knocked himself out multiple times and was involved in the Dundead contest as to who could knock over the most humans - one even being raised as a zombie to play against their erstwhile teammates.

There were moments of real quality, when Werner (#16) caught a ball that was spilled by. Ghouls after a fine blitz, which turned the game over to a 1-1. Or in the dying minutes when Kulusevski (#7) dodged out to charge the ball carrier, only to see him pushed and then dodge away to win the game 2-1. A lesson learnt for the Cockerells, and a bitter pill as the Barowia Brawlers were playing on the next field, and snuck a draw to go top of the pile.

Last game to play yet, and the Cockerell will be without three players after the chaos that was this game, including their ogre - who was but far the least useful piece on the board.

Goal fest in the Ostermark
A high scoring game as the Cockerells welcomed the Sou'King Sunbaskers to the Ostermark for a perfect day of bloodbowl with multiple injuries. The second half saw three touchdowns, bringing the final result to 3-1 for the home team, and both sides carrying two injuries off the pitch.

Snatching a tie from the jaws of victory
A Blizzard, Yeti & early casualties. The Norse visitors took a strong 1-0 lead in the first half, but some clinical blocking and passing in the second half made it 1-1, only for the Cockerell TD scorer to fail a rush into the end zone in the last turn (rolling a 2 when the blizzard required a 3). For a game missing the Ogre and facing a lot of strength, the Cockerells will have to be satisfied with a draw, and their first point drop in the Bronze league.

Cockerells go 3 for 3
In an auspicious start to the season the Cockerells have started with three 2-0 wins. Most recently a 2-0 away win against the Goblin Doom-Divers which followed a 2-0 win against the Slay City Rollers. On both occasions the Cockerells have made their numbers count by causing 4 and 5 casualties to the opposition, losing only a single player each match. In this latest round, they did lose their Big #6 to a mob of goblins fouling for all they were worth. With him missing the next game, they may need a new game plan for Match 4.

Victorious Debut for the Cockerells
For their first outing in the white and blue, the Ostermark Cockerell's found the end-zone twice at the cost of a single injury, in a tense match against Xena's Renegade Chaos Rough Necks. A match played in the poring rain, with no player sent off despite active fouling. A full match report is available, and the Cockerell's having hired an apothecary, might help as they face the Slay City Rollers in what promises to be a messy contest.
