Zetes was confused, despite the bone crunching tackle that had taken Calais out of the second half, there he was, fresh from the Apothecaries table. The only thing different was he was getting a fresh shirt with a new number. And a II after his name.

It was also odd that Calais didn't seem to remember any of the game just played, or any games they had played in the past. It was unsettling, and Zetes started to wonder about the II on his own shirt. Was it all meaningless, and if a III appears would he forget the crimes committed during that snotlings game?

Maybe death was the release from this nightmare, his new role as a dirty git sneaky player would then be a gift to the opposition. Yes, a gift. Definitely not war crimes.
