In our continued coverage of MBBL's Division 2, we have the highlights from the Hotspores v. Shufflers game in the Round 2 curtain raiser.
Shufflers receive and take the ball down the right flank, the orcs over-committing on defence and not having the numbers in the backfield to prevent what was a fairly comfortable TD. The Hotspores did manage to make the Shufflers pay for it with an impressive display of heavy hitting, so much so that Wakhakwi, the rookie thro-ra from Siwa, no longer walks among us.
The heavy hitting continued after half-time with the Hotspores creeping forward with the ball, but partway through the half, the orcs seem to visibly tire and were no longer tackling with great power. The Shufflers pounced and broke through the offensive line causing a visible lack of cohesion amongst the Hotspores. A desperate, and predictively disastrous passing attempt left the ball loose - Shufflers recover and promptly run in the game securing TD.
Rocky Bashly and Beer Money Inc were particularly impressive for the Hotspores, while it was a solid team performance from the Shufflers that won them the game. |
