Renault started superbly, the Shufflers started fouling.
After receiving the kick-off their Renault's first block resulted in a dead skeleton. Creating a channel through the Khemri defence, the elves scored on turn two and everything was going according to plan.
From here the second half was a story of:
1. Khemri grab the ball
2. Khemri shuffle forward and cage up
3. Elves find a way through cage
4. Elves fail to pick up the ball
5. Khemri bash some elves
6. Repeat from step 1
Finally the way opened up for the Khemri to score shortly before half time.
The cycled continued somewhat in the second half, but this time the injuries to the elves came more frequently. With vastly superior numbers the Shufflers found it more and more easier to protect the ball, and scored the winning TD on turn 8.
In short, Elf ball-handling failed, Khemri blocking succeeded. |
