Match notes
The Chargers went into this game knowing they had the title in the bag, so their main goals were to keep their stars alive, avoid a loss so they could tie the undefeated streak record and score enough TDs to secure the Top Scorer award. The Pact on the other hand needed a draw to protect themselves from relegation, but knew scoring would be hard with most of their ball handling specialists killed in their previous game. They also seemed pretty intent on causing as much harm to the swaggering elves as possible.

It turned out to be a fantastic game for the Chargers to round out their title winning season, achieving all their goals will no small amount of help from Nuffle.

The first half started well for coach Kyle with a blitz making things look ugly for the elves before they'd even picked up the dice. That's about where the Pact's luck ended though with the Chargers recovering from the blitz and slotting in a TD on turn 2 with ease. Things went from bad to worse for the Kyle who saw his rat sent off without breaking armour (the ref took the bribe and ejected him anyway), his wizard knock down 4/5 players but causing no damage, his chainsaw kick-back and stun himself and even the mighty Mor' couldn't break the elven armour despite piling on left and right. This left Kyle with no choice but to hide his dark elf ball carrier at the back of the pitch. But he'd forgotten about the range of super blitzer Mal'aki, who stormed down the field at his Chaos kin and turned him into a pulped bloodstain, setting up the Chargers to be 2-0 at the half.

The second half didn't start off much better for the brutes, with the hyper agile elves able to turn the ball over twice in two turns and break away for a quick TD, setting the scoreline at 3-0. Things finally turned around for the Pact though as they'd finally been methodically removing elves from the pitch, though only badly hurting them (much to coach Charger's delight). This meant that the Pact had little trouble marching the ball down the pitch to score on their turn 8, and because the Chargers had needlessly stalled earlier in the half they didn't have a chance to change the final scoreline. So the champions threw some half-hearted blocks before going to the showers to celebrate their title and survival in true dark elf style... those lucky, lucky witch elves.

Thanks to Kyle for a great game and for taking his horrible luck in the first half with good humour, despite having predicted it would be a bad game for him.
